Chat is optimized for an answer. Work is optimized for an outcome.
That distinction now has a real surface in Aii Cloud. Start a new conversation and choose Work when the job needs planning, tools, files, research, or several passes before it is ready.
Choose how deep the run should go
Work offers three effort levels:
- Quick — one focused pass.
- Deeper — a longer run with a review pass.
- Thorough — the deepest run, with two review passes.
The choice changes depth, not authority. A longer run does not gain extra permissions, private data, or hidden tools. It receives more room to iterate and check its own result.
Before a funded Deeper or Thorough run begins, Aii can show the expected session cost. If the remaining allowance cannot support it, the run does not start under a misleading promise. When a long run reaches its boundary, it can pause with its plan intact so you decide whether to continue.
The run stays visible
Work opens a run rail beside the conversation. It brings together the parts that used to be scattered across messages and artifact tabs:
- Progress — the current checklist and what remains.
- Activity — searches, page reads, tool work, and elapsed time.
- Review — whether the result passed the completion review and what was missing when it did not.
- Outputs — every file produced, with its latest version and downloads.
- Sources — the evidence used across the run.
You can collapse the rail, reopen it, or use the same surface in the mobile sheet. The conversation remains readable while the operational detail is one step away.
Deliverables are part of the conversation
Ask for a report, web page, React app, or document and the result opens in the workspace. Edits produce versions instead of overwriting history. Preview, source, diff, download, and publication all point at the selected version.
For Markdown documents, Download → Word (.docx) creates a standards-based Word file in your browser. For web work, preview diagnostics catch known build problems before publishing and let you choose an explicit override when you understand the limitation.
The result is a durable object you can reopen—not a code block you have to rescue from the transcript.

Keep the work organized
Projects group related chats and deliverables under one workspace. Start Work from a Project and the new conversation is filed there after the first accepted send. The Project home keeps its Chats and Deliverables views, while the composer makes the next piece of work the obvious entry point.
Attachments stay with the run where the model can actually use them. Source and tool boundaries remain explicit: a Project is organization, not automatic permission to every file or connected account.
Chat when you want an answer. Work when you want the job done.
