A month ago, this was a chat box
When we launched Aii Cloud on April 28, the pitch was simple: one URL, one login, a capable AI, 100 free requests a day, no keys, no card. A clean chat that always picked the right model for you.
We meant it as the floor, not the ceiling. Here's what a month of shipping added on top.
It searches the web now — with receipts
Turn on Search in the composer and Aii Cloud goes and reads the live web before it answers. The answer comes back with inline [1] [2] citations that link to their sources, a collapsible Sources panel, and three one-click follow-up questions to keep pulling the thread.
It's the Perplexity move — ask, get a sourced answer, dig deeper — without leaving the chat you were already in. Search is opt-in per message, so the fast path stays fast when you don't need it.
Code that runs, not just code that renders
Ask for a React component, a chart, a little tool — and it doesn't just print code at you. A preview panel opens beside the answer and runs it:
- HTML, SVG, and Mermaid diagrams render live.
- React, Vue, and Svelte components mount and become interactive — Tailwind classes and all.
- Python executes in your browser — numpy, pandas, matplotlib, scikit-learn included. Plots draw themselves; DataFrames render as tables. Nothing runs on our servers; it's all in a sandbox on your machine.
When something breaks, there's a Try to fix button that hands the error back to the model and re-runs. Every fix is a new version, with a diff view so you can see exactly what changed.
A workspace, not just a chat
For longer tasks, the screen splits. Your conversation stays on the left; a live workspace opens on the right the moment the agent produces something worth showing — a running preview, a file, a result. It's the difference between reading about what the AI made and watching it appear.
It sees, and it thinks out loud
- Multimodal in: drop in images, PDFs, screenshots. Ask about them.
- Real thinking mode: on models that support it, you can watch the reasoning unfold in its own panel — labeled and collapsible — instead of staring at a silent spinner.
Credits you can actually see
We moved to a single, honest unit: credits. Your dashboard shows what each session cost, a GitHub-style activity calendar, usage broken down by source and model, and your remaining daily free allowance — and you can export all of it whenever you want. Web search, when you use it, shows up as its own line item. No mystery math, no surprise bills.
Still free, still no keys
None of this moved the front door. It's still cloud.aiiware.com, still Google or GitHub sign-in, still a generous free tier every day, still no credit card. We added a ceiling's worth of capability and left the floor exactly where it was.
